  • Hello, my name's Sophie, I'm twenty, and I live in deepest darkest Somerset, England. I'm studying photography at Plymouth university. Occasionally I like to make things, go on exciting adventures, and take pictures of stuff, but I mostly just reblog pictures of cats.

Dick Jewell: Found Photos, 1978
Having scavenged dozens of discarded — and often torn or mutilated — rejects from automated photobooths in Brighton and London during the 1970s, Jewell’s collection of  images is a scarce artist’s book assembled in 1977. The collaged images form a collective documentation of the importance of the photobooth in helping to assert or disavow one’s perceived identity, even when the resulting photograph fails.

I cry a lot because I miss people. They die and I can’t stop them. They leave me and I love them more.
